Cruise Philosophy
We operate a little differently then most companies and that can be summed up below.
Cruise's goal is to provide the best possible solutions for people in the building
materials supply industry. These solutions include technology and procedures to help your
business operate more smoothly and with greater efficiency.
We are not a support organization we are a development company. Our customers
understand technology and believe that it is important in the success of their businesses.
While we do answer support questions quickly and accurately we feel that every time our
phone rings it means we have not done as good a job as we could have. Computer systems
should be understandable and easy to use and that is our goal.
Things we don't do . . .
- We don't sell you hardware, you buy it yourself. Since Cruise uses industry standard
personal computers you get to make your own decision about how much to spend
- We do not have a support team in all fifty states ready to respond to questions about
the dental or auto parts or maybe even the building material business. We are exclusively
interested in helping building materials retailers succeed.
- We don't sell you expensive forms. Cruise uses laser printing and all forms print
automatically on white paper. The only forms you need to buy are accounts payable checks
and you buy them direct from Moore Business forms or any business form catalog.
- We don't nickel and dime you for every new feature. With Cruise you get everything we
have to offer for one price. When we developed our automatic fax system a while back all
Cruise customers got that for no charge. It's just part of the monthly service fee you pay
to Cruise.
- We don't have any well dressed, high pressure sales people that call you every 10 days.
- We don't limit the number of support calls you can make. Since we have a modern product
that is easy to use and self explanatory we have very few operational questions. We work
hard at making Cruise easy to understand. We don't work hard at tracking how many times
you've called this month and how long you've been on the phone. We figure that you don't
want to call for technical support, you'd just like to be able to make it work yourself!
Things we do . . .
- Tell the truth. We don't pussy-foot around an answer. If you are doing something wrong -
we tell you. If you could do something better - we tell you. If we screwed up - we
tell you. It's just easier to tell the truth in the long run.
- Offer a solution for your business that functionally outperforms your current system -
we challenge you to compare Cruise to your current system or any other product on the
market.
- Grow by making customers happy. We don't grow by purchasing or merging with our
competitors. Our competitors have inferior solutions to ours and we don't blame them for
trying to increase their business by financial manueving. We increase business by
doing a good job and helping our members succeed.
- Offer a way of doing business that helps you focus on selling to customers and lets us
worry about new technology and integrating it into your business.
- Give you honest answers about technology and our products.
- Respond to requests from users in a timely fashion. If your business has a need for some
new functionality we consider it carefully and look at how it would work with other Cruise
members and then try to make it happen.
We think that Cruise's way of doing business if more straightforward and easier to work
